About Us
Our Story, Our Calling
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest.” — Galatians 6:9
The Wesleyan Church of Sierra Leone
The Wesleyan Church of Sierra Leone (WCSL) began through the missionary work of the American Wesleyan Mission (AWM) in the northern part of Sierra Leone. The work developed from a small mission into an autonomous national church, with major contributions through evangelism, education, medical work, radio ministry, leadership development, and church administration.
The Wesleyan Church of Sierra Leone is a holiness denomination committed to transforming lives and communities through the power of the Gospel. We are part of the global Wesleyan family, rooted in the Wesleyan revival tradition of scriptural holiness and social compassion.
From urban centers to rural villages, our congregations gather to worship, disciple, and serve — proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to every corner of our beloved nation.
